Bird 3

The Great horned owl is large and is 18 to 25 inches and a wing span of about 40 to 60 inches. They have feathers and are usually light brown underneath and a darker brown on top and they have big bright yellow eyes. As babies the owls are preyed on by nest predators such as the raccoon. When they are older the only predator they have are other birds of the same species. They eat small mammals such as rabbits, squirrels, and mice, they also eat other birds like ducks doves and even turkeys. Their young are called chicks. I saw one of these large birds pick up a mouse when i went to water my garden the mouse was about 6 feet away from me.
